Balancing
We all had a go at finding where the point of balance is on a ruler - after a few tries where the rulers dropped on the ground , we discovered if you hold the ruler at the middle point , it doesn't fall.
Big and small;counting to ten
We made sets of big and small things at our tables recently.The children also counted out ten sticks and then experimented to see what sort of things ten sticks could make- the variety was great.....from trees to rockets to flowers.
Circus paintings
We have been speaking about the circus in school recently.The children did different circus acts to music - tigers jumping through hoops,acrobats,trapeze swingers,tightrope walkers and juggling clowns. Then they painted their favourite circus acts.They came up with some very interesting things - including human canonballs!
Our Autumn paintings
We used the leaves we gathered to make pretty Autumn pictures.The children used sponges and whatever colours they liked to paint the background and then did leaf prints on top of that.The end result was lovely.
Autumn Nature Walk
We went on an Autumn Nature walk and the children were excellent at hunting down conkers,acorns and helicopters! We found lots of them.

Sunny September days!
Welcome back to Senior Infants!We made the most of the beautiful weather today by going to Mervue Park with Miss Flaherty's class.We had a great time.
