Baby clothes and Autumn Nature Walk

Today we looked at the clothes the children wore when they were tiny , and the toys they used to play with. They have grown so much since they could fit into these little things!

We went on a Nature Walk to see how the leaves are changing colour and falling on the ground.

Marsha the music teacher

Marsha is teaching the children music once a week. They are learning lovely songs and doing rhythm activities. There is an elephant called Elsie who sings to them!

Frog TV

A scientist called Diogo came in to do a lesson on frogs this week.We saw videos on  how they develop and change ,and how pollution from cars and litter left in ponds is harmful to them. The children did fun activities on what eats what in the wild ,and an experiment to make the frog hop  with a chemical explosion. It was fun!

Patterned hurl

I asked the children to make patterns at their tables and one duo made this - a patterned hurl!

Keenan's puppy

Keenan brought in his little puppy recently. The children loved him!

Zebras,matching shoes and prisms

The children did lovely zebra chalk drawings recently.
We took prisms out on a sunny day and watched them make rainbows.
Our shoes got all mixed up so we played a matching game putting the right ones back together!

Hurling

Katie from Liam Mellowes' Hurling Club is teaching the children hurling skills one day a week. They are really enjoying it particularly after all the excitement of the All Ireland Final!
